Moving Through Motherhood: A Yoga Workshop Benefitting Thistle Farms

TRILUNA returns to the Gardens fo Babylon for another round of flowing, plant loving, & giving back!

Tickets available here.

Join us Monday, May 13th at 7:00 in the evening gentle flow yoga class with lots of emphasis on empowering ourselves as women, as mothers, as sisters, and as friends (accessible to ALL levels of experience) where we will stretch, breathe, and move to soothing sounds and the fellowship up of many plants in a class led by Hannah Vaughn.

Whether you're a mother, have a mother, want to be a mother, pet mom, or struggling with a yet unmet desire to be a mother—you will find yourself at home here. You can bring your mother as your mother's day gift, come with a sister or friend, or come to meet a sister or friend.

We chose Thistle Farms as this month's non-profit because they believe women who have survived trafficking, prostitution and addiction deserve a second chance at life. They provide a safe and supportive place to live, meaningful work, and a life long sisterhood of support. And THAT is an idea we can get behind.

ALL proceeds go directly to Thistle Farms, so whether you donate $5 or $500 we are incredibly grateful.

Please note that space is limited and you do need to reserve a spot. The last THREE events we have had at the Gardens have sold out so please get your ticket asap!

Healthy Aphrodisiacs: A Cooking Class in 3 Courses

The word "Aphrodisiac" comes, of course, from the word Aphrodite—the ancient Greek goddess of love, beauty, pleasure, and procreation. Aphrodisiacs as a food group are believed to have a magical, sensual quality that increases libido and are often called, "love drugs." This Valentine's Day, rather than spending all your money on a $300 at a fancy restaurant, learn how to make your own 3-course meal all from ingredients designed to improve your love life. Bring your lover, bring your best friend, bring your Tinder date! This class is designed to be enjoyed by those in a relationship as well as those still looking and those independent creatures that wish to make romance their own.

For this class TRILUNA is joined by Chef Keshia Hay of Sip n' Bite Cocktail as we work our way through a common set of aphrodisiacs and create our very own candle lit dinner. You'll learn everything from the history of the food, to knife skills, to plating. This Valentine's Day take it to the next level and leave with knowledge that will last a lifetime. We can't wait to see you there!

The menu will include:
(*aphrodisiac)

MAIN

*Saffron Risotto with umami vegetable medley (*asparagus, *artichoke hearts, *roasted garlic)
Option of *chili, *fig & *ginger glazed Shrimp

SALAD

“In any moment, there are a million things that can be done. But all that can be done in that moment is the one thing that is needed.” ~ Jeff Zlotnik

Winter Solstice Workshop ❄️
Dec

6:00 PM18:00

Winter Solstice Workshop ❄️

The winter solstice, also called Yule, is the longest night of the year and marks the sun at it's weakest point all year. It is from this moment when Sun is at its weakest that it can only grow stronger as time progresses and it reaches its peak strength at the summer solstice. It is the promise that things will get better. That days will be longer. That the sun will shine brightly again. The winter solstice is about renewal, turning points, and change.

Join us on the evening of Dec 19th, just as we launch into full blown celebration time, to get quiet and consider all that has passed, what has gotten us to this point, and to celebrate the promise of what is to come. We'll flow gently, meditate peacefully, and then celebrate vivaciously. The cider will be warm and the wine will be spiced as we bring the sun into our space with candles, a warm fire, and twinkling lights.

Holiday Hand Pie Cooking/Baking Class

Hand pies are the perfect dish to bring to any holiday party, whether it’s Thanksgiving, Christmas, Yule, Kwanza, Hanukkah or anything in between, these tasty little pies can be savory or sweet and adapted to fit any lifestyle, allergy, or religious preferences. They are portable, delicious, and perfect for dipping, transporting, and impressing all your friends and family.

In this class we will make two different hand pies: one savory and one sweet, with a flakey crust of butter and whole wheat flour. If you have a dietary restriction we can work around it, but please let us know ahead of time. If the allergy is wheat or gluten we cannot guarantee safety from contamination, flour has a lovely habit of getting absolutely everywhere.

This is a 3 hour class where we will make the insides of our pie, mix and roll our dough, cut out our pies and bake them! We will have fall inspired beverages like hot spiked apple cider, mulled wine, and apple cider mimosas as well as other non-alcoholic options.

The class will be held at Elizabeth’s parent’s house in Bellevue. We will enjoy lovely scenic views and cozy up with a class of hot cider on the porch with a fire in the stove. These classes are the most fun and we absolutely love doing them!
